Field Boundary & Input Calculator
Trace your fields on NAIP imagery, confirm acreage, and estimate seed and fertilizer needs in minutes.
Find Your Field
Draw Your Boundary
Use the polygon tool on the map to trace each field. You can edit or delete shapes to update acreage.
Tip: Zoom in until row patterns are clear, then trace around the field edge.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the acreage measurement?
Acreage is calculated from the polygon you draw using the haversine projection. For typical field shapes it is within one to two percent of survey acreage. Small or oddly shaped fields with many turns will be less accurate than large clean rectangles.
Does it save my field boundaries?
All field data stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server. If you clear browser data or switch devices, you will need to redraw or import the boundary again.
Can I import a shapefile or KML?
Currently you draw the boundary on the map directly. Shapefile and KML import is a planned upgrade. For now, the easiest workflow is to trace from satellite imagery using the polygon tool.
How are seed and fertilizer totals calculated?
The tool multiplies your per-acre rate (seeds, pounds, gallons, etc.) by the calculated acreage and shows totals plus a recommended order quantity rounded up. You can override the unit and add safety margins.
What satellite imagery is shown?
The base map uses publicly available imagery tiles, refreshed at the provider's normal cadence. Imagery may lag actual ground conditions by months to years depending on location.
