Solunar theory predicts that fish and game activity peaks during specific times each day tied to the moon's position - major periods during moonrise and moonset, and minor periods during moon transits. It is widely used by anglers and hunters as a planning aid.
How accurate are the predicted bite times?
Solunar windows are correlated with feeding activity but are not guarantees. Weather, water temperature, barometric pressure, and local conditions all matter. The Planner combines solunar windows with current weather and water data to flag the strongest combined signals.
