Where does the price data come from?
All numbers are pulled from USDA Agricultural Marketing Service reports, which are the same daily and weekly summaries used by buyers, processors, and brokers across the country. The tool just makes them faster to scan.
How current are the prices?
Most reports update at least once per business day during USDA office hours. Some weekly summaries lag by a few days. Each price card shows the report date so you can judge how fresh it is.
Why are some markets missing today?
USDA does not publish every report every day. Federal holidays, regional reporting schedules, and individual market closures all affect what shows up. If a market is missing, check back the next business day.
Can I get historical prices?
The snapshot is current data only. For historical series, USDA publishes archive files on the AMS website that you can download directly.
Is this a substitute for a market advisor?
No. The snapshot is for fast price lookups. Real selling decisions involve basis, contracts, hedging, and timing that need either a broker or your own market plan.
